two and half hours of heavy hiking to reach the top of the Corcovado it was definitely a trail worth to try, with monkeys, waterfalls and an amazing views... it is not a very touristic trail, few people knows about it, it starts in the botanical garden and it goes up with stiff to the summit of the mountain.
There is even a part where it is necessary to cross the rails of the small train going up to the Christ, which is somehow dangerous.
The funny part is that when i arrived on the top it was not possible to buy the ticket to go on the top of the mountain where the big statue of Christ is standing with a stunning view over Rio. We had to go down again with a mini bus to get a ticket... unbelievable.
